| Gus and I just wanted to say Thank you for a fantastic day on the water. The experience you provided was top notch and will be highly recommended to others I work with. Take care and Thank you again! Ray ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Captain Chris: We had a great time on Friday--in spite of locking the keys in the car!! Just wanted to send you a quick note thanking you for your excellent service. You are the epitome of a great fishing guide-- knowledgeable, encouraging, and well organized. The top tips we learned from Captain Chris: 1. Minimize gear in the boat. 2. Use braided line. 3. Let your pole do the casting. 4. Close your bail by hand. 5. Stop the line when it hits the water. 6. Practice casting!!! Thanks, again. Tom and Marion ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Many thanks. I wanted to thank you again for taking us out. I particularly was so impressed with your humane handling of the fish and the trouble you took to make sure that we didn't hurt them and that they were fully reovered when they were released. These are the kinds of things I want my son to learn about sportsmanship! Thanks for setting a fine example. Hopefully we will see you again! Dr. Valerie F. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ We had a great time...and we learned a lot too...just need to practice our casting accuracy! We read your fishing report...nice!! And my fish was much bigger...there is a picture to prove it!! Sal and Al ____________________________________________________________________________________ I wanted to let you know how much we appreciated your patience with us during your efforts to make our day fishing with you a memorable experience that will never be forgotten. Rest assured, if I get the opportunity to return to Florida I will make every effort to contact you for a scheduled day of fishing with you again. Although I've hunted and fished all over the country, I've never had the opportunity to do either with a guide and you were very nice and taught me techniques that I'll never forget. My Sunday morning ritual of watching fishing shows was highlighted by a couple guys fishing the flats this morning for redfish and sea trout however they never caught a fish as big as the ones you put us on, not even close. You're great at what you do and your courtesy towards us made the experience that much more enjoyable. Best of luck to you! If anyone that contacts you would like to speak with past customers for a reference feel free to give them my telephone number. I'd recommend you to anyone who ever asked! Tom L. _______________________________________________________________________________________ Dear Capt. Myers, Thank you for emailing the pictures of our fishing trip. I enjoyed the day immensely and valued your instruction, professionalism, patience, and hard work. I would certainly recommend you to anyone. Have a great summer. Carl "RedFish" Sweitzer ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Thanks again for a wonderful fishing trip. You made our fishing trip and my birthday a great day. Tiffany was smiling all the way home and talking about what a really nice day it was and how helpful you are. We both look forward to spending the day with you again soon. Steve M. _______________________________________________________________________________________ Capt. Chris Myers, It was a unique pleasure fishing with you for the two days we shared this week. After having fished with numerous fishing guides around Florida waters, I can assure you, and others, that fishing with you was not only productive, but it was also very educational. The second day that we fished, the winds were howling and the waters were muddy and choppy. I thought that fishing the flats in Titusville under those conditions was going to be a real blow-out. You still found the fish and got me within accurate casting range. Fortunately the fish were hungry and we scored several nice reds, a good trout, and a few tarpon. I am particularly thankful for your kind words of encouragement and for the gentle manner that you provided instruction to improve my crusty old technique. Now you know why I asked for a number of your business cards. I will gladly refer my closest friends to you. I shall return to fish with you again. Thank you and continued success. Paul H. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Recently, I had the good fortune to go fishing on the Indian River Lagoon system with Captain Chris Myers. Captain Chris specializes in light tackle sight fishing for saltwater game fish along Florida’s Space Coast. He guides out of a meticulously maintained Hewes 16’ Bayfisher flats skiff and provides quality fly and spinning tackle as well as all the lures and flies that you’ll need. Armed with spinning outfits, our mission that day was to stalk Spotted Seatrout and Redfish on shallow water grass flats within view of NASA’s Vehicle Assembly Building and rocket launch pads 39A and 39B. After a short and speedy ride, Captain Chris shutdown the motor and quietly poled us into a backcountry flats area that had been productive for him earlier in the week. The weather was cool and clear. The water was super clear and very shallow. I soon learned that in addition to being a poling machine with telescopic eyes, Captain Chris is also an excellent fishing instructor. After observing my casting technique for a few minutes, Chris politely offered some suggestions that resulted in an immediate improvement in my casting distance and accuracy. I was also impressed with Chris’s ability to read the water and spot even the most imperceptible signs of fish. Signs which, I must admit, I wouldn’t have noticed if Captain Chris hadn’t pointed them out. That day, we saw, caught and released many large trout and also caught a few Redfish for good measure using soft plastic baits. Although his methodical approach to guiding is that of a serious professional, Captain Chris is also very easy to talk to. All day long, while maintaining his vigil on the poling platform, Captain Chris patiently answered my many questions about the Lagoon, the various species of fish, tackle, flats fishing tactics and technique. It was a very informative and enjoyable day and I hope to have the opportunity to go fishing with Captain Chris again real soon. If sight-fishing for saltwater game fish while silently poling across gin-clear shallow water grass flats in the shadow of launch pads, is an adventure that appeals to you, I’d greatly recommend booking a charter with this personable, informative and professional guide. Thanks again Captain Chris for a great day of fishing fun! Bob M. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Captain Chris,Thanks again for a great day on the water. Today was a picture perfect day. Your skill and knowledge in finding fish was fantastic. With 15 reds and 10 trout caught it was a banner day. Maybe next time we will get that really big trout. Also I really enjoyed seeing the sea turtles. Thanks again, Ron W. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Fishing with Capt. Myers was a memory making experience. Chris worked HARD to put us on fish including poling us over vast flats just to get to a certain honey holes inaccessible under power. Chris found some of the LARGEST speckled trout I have ever seen and more 4-5 lb class fish in one place than I'd have thought possible. It's obvious he has not only an intimate knowledge of the Lagoon system but also a deep love and respect for this fragile and unique ecosystem. A+ plus for a great relaxed personality, an unassuming teacher, and great day on the water. Thanks Capt. Chris! Best, Mike W ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Chris....thanks for a great day. I learned a lot. Its not always about how much fish you catch. You really know what your doing and it was a pleasure fishing with you today Tom V. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Captain Myers, Thanks again for the wonderful trip and learning experience. We both had a great time! I am looking forward to fishing with you again in the future. Dave D. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ |
