Central Florida Sight Fishing Charters offers light tackle and fly fishing for redfish, black drum, and spotted seatrout
in the
Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River year round. This is shallow water sight fishing at its best. Stalk the fish
on our clear grass flats and cast to fish you can see. I am a full time
fishing guide, licensed and insured. Mosquito
Lagoon is located on the east coast of Florida one hour from Orlando between Cocoa Beach and Daytona Beach. I
practice catch, photo, and release so trophy fish like these will be around for years to come. If you need more
information, you can contact me at 321-229-2848.
Black drum are another common species you may catch in the Mosquito Lagoon or Indian River. They are related
to the redfish but have a diet primarily restricted to shrimp, crabs, clams, and other crustaceans. We often catch
black drum weighing in excess of 25 pounds. They provide a great fight on light tackle or fly and usually emit a
loud drumming sound when landed. Some examples of black drum are pictured below.
